With only 2200 inhabitants, Smøla is one of the smaller municipalities on Nordmøre, but we definitely have the most to offer. Every summer, the population almost doubles, and we can understand why. Smøla is an amazing place to spend your summer. Fishing, hiking, biking and an amazing wildlife, to mention a few.

But why should only the locals get to experience this beautiful island? That was our thought when we launched this project.
With so much to offer, Smøla is the perfect destination to include in a Norway-itinerary. A day packed with amazing experiences on the gateway to the Atlantic. A day your passengers will never forget.

It is with great pleasure we now can confirm, that Smøla will get its first cruise ship arrival in 2014. On the 23rd of May, Lindblad Expeditions’ vessel “National Geographic Explorer” will call at Smøla. We would like to thank Lindblad for including Smøla in their itinerary for 2014, and look forward to welcoming them. Maybe your vessel will be the next?

Cruise Destination Smøla was launched in 2012, and act as both a destination promoter, and handling company, if needed. Smøla have several opportunities regarding quays, but tender is the primary choice. We target smaller cruise ships, and especially expedition ships.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information or have any questions; we would be delighted to speak with you.
